ABOUT SWACHH VIDHYALAYA ABHIYAN

Coal India Limited being a part of Swacchh Bharat: Swacchhh Vidayalaya Abhiyan undertook the task of constructing apporx. 52000 toilets in government school to fulfill the mission of our Hon’ble Prime Minister. Being the part of this noble mission EASTERN COALFIELDS LIMITED (ECL) was given the task of constructing/repairing 3372 number of toilets in government schools in the districts of Purulia (WB), Deoghar & Sahibganj (Jharkhand). ECL is proud to announce that the target was achieved well within the timeline given by the ministry. This was only possible due to hard work and commitment not only by our employees but also the state authority and the community. These all toilets are provided with running water supply along with solar/electric water pump with deep borewell as well as we are providing the 5 year operation & maintenance. The total expenditure in financial year 2015-16 was Rs. 54.30 crores and in previous year expenditure for the same was Rs. 12.15 crores.
